QUEEN'S BUILDING, BELFAST
Queen's Building is located at the heart of the Belfast City Centre Conservation Area and the City Centre's prime retail pitch and was destroyed in a fire in 2004. Most of the building's fine Victorian stuccoed facade was saved and restored, and its visio-structural language employed in the design of a replacement attic storey, to create five new floors of flexible, modern retailing space.
