TESCO METRO
The Tesco Metro store in Royal Avenue, Belfast is unique within the British Isles in that it is a fully functioning Tesco Store located within a Grade 1 listed building (the former head office of The Provincial Bank of Ireland). The 2 storey building dates from 1869 and was designed by JW Barre in the Italianate style. WDR & RT Taggart undertook a comprehensive restoration service with respect to the stone façade, roof and feature lantern.
