TAPPAGHAN WINDFARM PHASE 1
Completed in February 2005, Tappaghan Phase 1 windfarm is a development of 13 turbines located to the North east of Lack in Co. Fermanagh.
Acting as Design Consultant to Lagan Construction Ltd. Taggarts was responsible for the detailed design of turbine foundations, met mast foundations, roadworks, drainage, sub-station and ancillary works. The individual turbine capacity is 1.5 MW, with a hub height of 55m and a rotor blade diameter of 70m, giving an overall height to blade tip of 90m.
Approximately 4.9km of new access routes were constructed to the individual turbines. Peat stability monitoring was an essential service provided by WDR & RT Taggart.
