KILLYNURE LOUGH DRAIN

The works were completed at a cost of £3.3M and included 780m of various pipe construction including precast concrete pipes, concrete box culverts and Armco structure of depth up to 3m.
The scheme was part of Rivers Agency’s strategic objective to upgrade the drainage infrastructure of the Killynure Lough Drain at Enniskillen and provide release of development land at the upstream reach of the catchment by the replacement of a series of structurally deteriorated culverts with a new pressure pipeline.  WDR & RT Taggart were commissioned to update the initial cost benefit analysis in line with the requirements of the Green Book for economic assessment using the FCDPAG3 spreadsheets and the Multicoloured Manual.  Following gateway approval detailed design was undertaken and WDR & RT Taggart project managed the procurement and administration of the contract and supervised the construction.
