MAGUIRESBRIDGE FLOOD ALLEVIATION SCHEME
WDR & RT Taggart were engaged by Rivers Agency for the Maguiresbridge Flood Alleviation Scheme.
Flood alleviation scheme along the River Colebrooke to protect residential, commercial and leisure properties. Worksincluded:
- 600m of cantilevered steel sheet piling.
- Natural stone faced reinforced concrete terraced floodwall.
- Back drainage pipeline along rear of flood wall.
- New stormwater pumping station.
- Pressurised pipeline to discharge run-off from higher ground.
- Provision of riverside walkway and floodwall crossing points.
- Major landscaping of the works.
Environmental mitigation measures including crayfish/ pearl mussel relocation.
