CASTLEDERG HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS DEVELOPMENT
WDR & RT Taggart carried out the role of Lead Consultant on behalf of the Western Education & Library Board (WELB) for the £984k construction of a pavilion (159m²), sand-dressed synthetic turf floodlit hockey pitch (5,944m²) and polymeric surfaced floodlit tennis court (665m²) at Castlederg High School, Castlederg. Works included:
- Floodlighting.
- Bitumen macadam engineered bases to pitch and court.
- Drainage.
- 18mm in situ shockpad and 18mm pile sand-dressed synthetic turf.
- Installation of a 12mm thick permeable textured rubberised polymeric surface suitable for soccer, tennis and basketball.
- Rebound fencing 3.0m and ballstop fencing 4.5m high.
- 1.2m high demarcation fencing.
- 159m² pavilion having two changing rooms, toilets and committee room.
