LISNAGARVEY HOCKEY CLUB SYNTHETIC PITCHES
WDR & RT Taggart carried out the role of Lead Consultant on behalf of Lisnagarvey Hockey Club for the £2.8M construction of a new clubhouse, two floodlit water based synthetic turf hockey pitches (total synthetic surface 11,888m) and ancillary infrastructure at Lisnagarvey Hockey Club, Hillsborough, Co. Down. Works included:
- 996m² clubhouse.
- Earthworks to contour the site.
- Stone filling to pitch platforms.
- Pitch drainage.
- Installation of 15mm thick in-situ shock pad and 12mm pile water based synthetic turf for hockey.
- Irrigation system for both pitche to FIH standard.
- Car park.
- Storm water pumped retention tank.
Floodlighting. - Spectator protection and pitch perimeter fencing.
Terracing and landscaping. - Provision of officials and team shelters.
