WILLOWBANK PARK MULTI USE GAMES AREA (MUGA)
WDR & RT Taggart carried out the role of Lead Consultant on behalf of Belfast City Council for the £453k construction of a permeable polymeric surfaced floodlit multi use games area (MUGA) (2,050m²) at Willowbank Park, Belfast. Works included:
- Floodlighting pitch to 300 lux.
- Bitumen macadam engineered base to pitch.
- Drainage.
- Installation of a 12mm thick permeable textured rubberised polymeric surface suitable for soccer, tennis and basketball.
- Perimeter fencing of height 6.0m.
- Spectator protection fencing 1.2m high.
- Provision, foundations and servicing of modular changing rooms and toilets to serve the facility.
