DARGAN ROAD LANDFILL SITE AND CLOSURE WORKS
WDR & RT Taggart are providing civil and planning services to Belfast City Council on the Dargan Road Landfill Site and Closure Works. To date the works have included:
- Design, contract documentation and project management for clay and membrane capping for Dargan Road landfill site. To date, some 94 ha of clay and 2 ha of membrane capping has been placed. Projected total approximately 115 ha.
- Obtained planning permission for extension of Dargan Road landfill and associated Environmental Statement.
- Design, contract documentation and project management for landfill gas abstraction at Dargan Road Landfill Site, to provide gas for 5MW of electricity generation
- Dargan Road Street Sweepings Transfer Area;
- Enabling Works for Belfast City Council’s Waste Transfer Station.
- Project Management and design of Closure Plan for Dargan Road Landfill.
