Proposed new school on a Greenfield site on the outskirts of Downpatrick. This project involved extensive pre-application discussion with numerous statutory consultees including Roads Service, NIEA and Landscape Architects Branch.
Landscape and Visual Impacts were considered at an early stage within the multi-disciplinary team; particular attention was paid to proposed mitigation measures to ensure that the proposed development did not adversely affect the sensitive surrounding landscape character; featuring a drumlin landscape, the Quoile Area of Special Scientific Interest, surrounding farmlands, ecological considerations and archaeological considerations.
