BLEACH WORKS SITE, LARNE
This proposal aims to regenerate this derelict former industrial site within a neglected area of Larne. The proposed new development will consist of a new food store and ancillary units. WDR & RT Taggart Architects, Town Planners and Landscape Architects prepared the designs for this challenging site; including detailed negotiations with Planning Service and Roads Service. Environmental considerations were at the forefront of the design concept; the retention and protection of existing mature trees, the protection of the industrial artefacts including natural stone walls and mitigation measures to ensure the protection of the existing river course adjacent to the site.
