Preparation of a Site Development Strategy to guide future design, with recommendations to safeguard, manage and enhance environmental qualities and opportunities for visitor enjoyment and appreciation of this important and unique place. The recommendations provide a development framework to re-energise and position the Centre and surrounding lands as a must-see attraction and major heritage and cultural centre, as well as a venue for cultural events and unique business tourism activities. The masterplan proposals promote use of the land in effective and innovative ways; adding educational, economic and social activities that utilise the heritage assets of the site whilst conserving the natural and cultural values.
