THE LANES COLERAINE
The Lanes scheme is a mixed-use response to an area of Coleraine's historic town centre which is in need of investment and regeneration. The scheme will restore the original street lines and sensitively heal the urban fabric that was cleared during the 1980's. Two new urban spaces are proposed, the scale of which will respect the hierarchy established by The Diamond as the town's main square. In use terms, the concept is to eliminate the existing retail cold spot between the town centre's main prime pitch of Church Street/Moore's Department Store and the Diamond Shopping Centre. As well as new retail space, 450 carparking spaces, townhouses and office space will be provided.
