MAJOR INVESTMENT PLANNED AT CRESCENT LINK, LONDONDERRY
This development aims to regenerate a currently redundant and desolate piece of land in the Waterside area of Londonderry, building on the City’s regional nature. The overall proposal consists of a Healthcare Business Process Facility, Cinema, Hotel (to be operated by Premier Inn), High Specification Office Units/Buildings, Point of Presence Building (incorporating a community & business enablement centre), Live/Work Home Scheme and Supporting Retail. The first phase of the overall development will include a new Sainsbury’s store and the creation of some 650 jobs.
WDR & RT Taggart Planning team have prepared a Planning Statement and Retail Impact Assessment in support of the scheme. We will also manage the application (submitted on the 9th April 2010) and coordinate input from a range of professional teams including WDR & RT Taggart Landscape Architecture team. The proposal represents a major investment by the Orana Group in the Waterside area of Londonderry on a strategically important site, with the potential to deliver over 1000 jobs.
