Foxx was one of the premier blue humor comedians
Blue humor was very dirty, too dirty for white audiences
For years his party albums were not available in white record stores In the 1960s his records became available, although marginally in white record. Redd foxx played the role of fred sanford during sanford and son's entire six seasons Like many other tv stars, foxx became bonded with his character as the series went on, and he felt he knew his character personally
Comedian redd foxx, who became a television star playing an irascible, bawdy junkman in sanford and son and returned nearly two decades later in the current cbs series the royal family, died.
