In a mirrorless camera, there is no optical viewfinder They provide excellent image quality and fast autofocus Instead, the imaging sensor is exposed to light at all times.

Sensor quality & processing power
Mirrorless cameras use an image sensor to capture light and display it directly on an electronic viewfinder (evf) or lcd screen
Without the mirror, thereβs no intermediary optical viewfinder step. A common feature of mirrorless cameras is the absence of a mirror mechanism, which allows for a more compact and lightweight design compared to traditional dslr cameras. One of the most critical features to look for in a mirrorless camera is the sensor size The sensor is the heart of the camera, capturing light and converting it into an image
With light consistently projected onto its image sensor, a mirrorless camera offers features such as face and eye tracking, zebra patterning and focus peaking Therefore, mirrorless cameras are quicker at focusing on subjects and optimizing light exposure. What is a mirrorless camera A mirrorless camera is a type of camera that works without a reflex mirror
Light passes through the lens directly to the digital sensor, which then displays your image on the cameraβs lcd screen, allowing you to adjust settings and preview your image before its shot.
Dslrs employ a mirror mechanism that reflects light into an optical viewfinder, allowing you to see the scene optically through the lens Mirrorless cameras omit this complex mirror system and optical viewfinder system. Mirrorless cameras are compact and lightweight, offering interchangeable lenses and electronic viewfinders
