It's hard to compare apples to apples, here, but that's the tendency i've experienced. Korina body, flame maple top, lindy fralin steel pole pickups, old dimarzio bridge I have always wanted a korina explorer with vintage specs, but i can't justify the $10,000 gibson version (forget about an original)
Corinna Kopf, 28, leaves people divided over latest photo after shock
The ibgc epiphone version satisfies that desire for 13% of the cost.
7 lbs 13 oz width at the nut
42.9 mm width at the 1st fret They just look so good, the. The latest epiphone korina v should not be overlooked While it is a hefty increase in price from accepted epiphone fare
I don't think many appreciate what a hidden gem these (and the explorers) are Expensive for an epiphone isn't crazy money. I love the looks of korina les pauls, have never played one, they are pretty rare, can anyone chime in on how they sound compared to regular mahogany les pauls? There has been speculation that the epiphone korinas have cheap wood of a different type under the veneer
In my case, i have a flying v epiphone
Looking at the sides and under the pickup cavities of my v, i can say it's definitely korina but is in pieces, glued together Black korina, as the above example shows, is beautiful even without a maple top And sounds great with good humbuckers I did notice the wilkinson studs did lift after a few years in one case
I reinstalled with liquid nails glue But that is an issue Lately i am a big fan of alder Boring looking but great sounding tone wood.
