In this video i am replacing a no caulk drain on a fiberglass shower base In order prevent water damages due to leaky shower base you should waterproof the bathroom to minimize the effect of shower base leaking. I am not sure what was happening on the bottom side but someone got pretty creative with it!.
How to Fix a Leaky Shower Base?
The common issue is the bottom corner where the glass frame meets the shower base and walls, as well as the joint between the base and wall
Also check the entire length of the glass frame
Water is weeping and can come from the tiniest of openings Clean out any old caulk and debris Use the shower for a few days. To seal a shower enclosure base effectively, first remove old caulk and clean the area thoroughly
A prolonged leaky shower base can lead to serious issues such as mold and mildew growth and structural damages such as wood rotting, warping, wall paint peeling, and material detoriation
