The australian shepherd, also known as the aussie, is a breed of herding dog from the united states
The name of the breed is technically a misnomer, as it was developed in california in the 19th century.
The breed's ancestors came to the u.s From europe by way of australia, hence the name. The meaning of aussie is a native or inhabitant of australia. About 45 minutes away from the actual town of los gatos, san jose, santa cruz, and watsonville
It is a very rural area but it is the perfect place to raise australian shepherds We breed both standard and mini australian shepherds We also keep tails on all of our puppies! When you first get your aussie puppy, theyโre energetic and playful like with any other puppy
But shortly after, they enter what we call the โraptor stage,โ where they morph into the closest thing to having a wild beast in the home.
We rescue, evaluate and then place wonderful australian shepherds in just the right new home We do not adopt out of state Aussies are not always good with children.
