Since last night, whatsapp web on chrome and every other browser i've tried has been using way more cpu than it needs or had previously used
Apparently, now whatsapp web doesn't work on tablet browsers
I reached out both whatsapp and apple support for this issue And apple asked to re install the update and i did but that didn't help Then whatsapp gave an explanation to the problem, that whatsapp web now isn't supported on mobile browsers and tablets browsers A web page should now load and display all your recent whatsapp messages, along with any media or voice notes
Be aware that there are a few limitations when using whatsapp this way Most importantly, unlike when the service is used on a mac or pc, notifications from web browsers aren’t supported on ios/ipados. I have the exact same problem, and disconnecting and reconnecting whatsapp web works for the first time and the next time it switching back to my native language Having the same issue after switching from pixel to iphone 15
Jeeze, this is so frustrating
Considering sending my new iphone back because i just don't want to deal with this crap (am too dependent on whatsapp for my work) and i see from this forum that whatsapp isn't competent enough to solve this even after months of user complaints!!!
