A song expressing the angst of the human condition and the inability of humans to be perfect or even fix many of the “real problems” in life I'm only human / i'm only, i'm only / i'm only human, human / / maybe i'm foolish or maybe i'm blind / thinking i can see through this and see what's behind / got no way to prove it, so maybe i'm blind / but i'm only human after all, i'm only human after all / don't put your blame on me, don't put your blame on me / / take a look in the mirror and what do you see The chorus repeats “i'm only human, human” as a way of saying “don't put the blame on me”.
