Rob from sydney, australia thunder only happens when its raining is saying that when things are bad, they seem to get worse.thunder (signifying deep emotional distress or bad times), as a rule of nature only happens when it is already raining (that is when one is already gloomy, depressed, etc) Perhaps the most enduring lines of ‘dreams’, and certainly the most quoted, are the metaphorical, ‘thunder only happens when it’s raining / players only love you when they’re playing.’ herein lies the song’s hidden meaning This is my interpretation anyway :)
Thunder Only Happens When It's Raining Stevie Nicks Poster Fleetwood Mac Gift Ideas - Happy
Oh, thunder only happens when it’s raining players only love you when they’re playing say, women, they will come and they will go when the rain washes you clean, you’ll know you’ll know the part of the song that mentions the dreams is particularly sad
Stevie says that she’s the only one who really wants to wrap around his dreams.
A metaphor for conditional circumstances “thunder only happens when it’s raining” reflects the idea that certain events or emotions are conditional—they arise because of specific circumstances Thunder is intrinsically tied to storms, just as certain feelings or challenges in life emerge only under certain conditions.
